Your lips need to be pampered just as much as any other part of the body. We don’t only have to worry about them being chapped in the winter, but the sun does some damage to them as well. While at the beach I obsessed over protecting my skin from the sun and didn’t give much thought to my lips. Later in the day I paid the price for my mistake. My lips felt a little sunburned and I had to constantly apply lip balm to ease the discomfort. Thanks to a little routine I followed for the next couple of days they felt extra smooth soon after.
Every night I exfoliated my lips. You can use any lip exfoliator. I love how Kiss Me Exfoliating Lip Scrub from Philosophy works. You just leave it on for up to 3 minutes and wah-lah smooth lips.
My favorite chap stick is Burt’s Bees, but “desperate measure calls for desperate actions”. I opted for a second balm on top of that one. I started using C.O. BIGELOW’s Rose Salve and I love it.

Grab an eyelash curler, clamp those lashes and your eyes will instantly look wider. Don’t forget to apply mascara afterwards to keep the look.
Make Up For Ever is a great line of makeup. I hate when I have a long day ahead of me, and no time to touch up my makeup. Make up For Ever really lasts on your skin and it looks beautiful.
Mineral and Powder foundation are great because they aren’t as messy. They’re easier to manage. They are good also for those of us with combination or oily skin. If you have oily skin look for words on the label of the foundation like, “mattefying” and “oil free”.
Let’s not forget about liquid foundation. If you have a photo shoot or an even coming up, that you know you will take a ton of pictures at, try a liquid foundation. Your skin will come out looking great in the pictures. I guess you can say liquid foundation is the photogenic one of the bunch. If you have dry skin try a liquid foundation.
Cream based foundations are another option. They’re usually creamy in the powder, but once you apply it on the face you get a powdery finish. Any skin type can use this. Cream based foundations can also be usead as concealers.
I chose the Jergens Natural Glow Express, because I love instant gratification and it said on the bottle that in 3 days I would start to see a color change. It’s the third day and I’m actually seeing some color. I’m Tan =). The lotion really works. You guys have to try it. Just make sure to wash your hands really well after applying and let it dry for a few seconds before putting any clothes on.
N.Y.C. is a makeup line you can find at target. It’s super affordable and their products work (as I mentioned in a previous post). Try the pearlized black. It has a tiny hint of shimmer in the color. To apply just simply: hold your eye lid to a slant pulling it from the outer side, and with your free hand glide the eye liner starting from your inner lid out. Then just repeat as necessary. You can make it thin or thicker for a more dramatic look. This eye line is under $2 and lasts me all day.
I also bought Sephora’s liquid liner. It was $10 and when I compared the two, I like the $2 liner way better. It was a good reminder that more expensive things aren’t always better.
